Hi, I’m Lamija. I’m a writer and photographer based in Chicago, Illinois.

My story starts with a deep appreciation for nature’s design. On the first of many adventures in nature, I would wander through the forests in Bosnia on my grandfather’s shoulders. Later on, during family vacations I would steal my dad’s camera and take dozens of pictures of sunsets every night. There has always been a common thread weaving its way through my life interlacing nature and art.

My writing and photography is deeply inspired by my background. I studied environmental science in college and eventually went on to pursue a graduate degree in the same field. After a few years working with the Environmental Protection Agency, I decided to follow my calling and pursue a life in the creative arts.
